About Us

AFC Mortgage Group was founded in 1998 by my father, Frank Ciambriello. He started the business as a mortgage brokerage with a simple but powerful belief: the mortgage process works best when you truly understand it and take responsibility for every part of it.

From day one, his vision was to control the entire lending process — originating, processing, underwriting, and funding loans in-house — so borrowers could receive better guidance, faster decisions, and a level of accountability that was often missing in the industry.

The company began out of the house my brother and I grew up in. Today, we are headquartered in Fairfield County and have grown into a multi-state, full-service mortgage lender serving borrowers and real estate professionals across the country.

In 2020, my brother Vito and I joined the business with a clear goal: to grow AFC intentionally and build on the foundation our father created. Our focus has been on scaling the company the right way — investing in people, systems, education, and culture to create a purchase-focused lending platform built for long-term success.

Our vision is to become the #1 purchase lender in Connecticut, expand our presence throughout the Northeast, and ultimately build a nationwide platform that sets the standard for professionalism, communication, and execution in mortgage lending.

Today, we offer a comprehensive range of home purchase, refinance, home equity, and bridge loan products. We are currently licensed in 17 states, with a strategic roadmap to expand nationally while maintaining the high-touch service and accountability that define who we are.
